Dwight has been licensed to trade in Real Estate since May of 1980. In January of 1981, he joined Greg Gilmour and RE/MAX Realty Specialists when RE/MAX was in its very early stage of start-up.  Since joining RE/MAX Realty Specialists, the company has grown from 8 to more than 450 sales representatives and has become one of Canada’s largest RE/MAX brokerages.

It has been said that if you want to be successful, you should surround yourself with successful people. Greg Gilmour and RE/MAX Realty Specialists have given Dwight the exposure of being surrounded by the best. His experience includes selling residential and commercial real estate, training of sales representatives as well the management and development of offices that he has owned.  Over the years, these experiences have developed many unique marketing, educational and support systems, which when combined with the RE/MAX name and services have ensured the success of his clients.

“My philosophy of treating people fairly and honestly is one of the key reasons for my success,” says Dwight.  I follow the “consulting” approach in selling; my approach is not to sell houses to, or for, people.  My objective is to provide my clients with enough information so they can decide what they want to do, and then we use my experience and expertise to help them achieve their goals”.

Dwight has raised a wonderful family and is known for the relationships he creates with his clients.  They very regularly greet him with a hug versus a handshake representing the bond that is established during his time spent with them.  With close to 35 years now in the business building these friendships, he has watched families that he worked with to purchase their first home now referring their children and grandchildren!
